10/30/2022 0 Comments Cli id3 editorWhen I have files to convert (in my case, it's always WAV to FLAC some vendors like to ship WAV for whatever reason, especially for high res files), generally I use a GNOME utility called "soundconverter" The Fabulous Thunderbirds' example above shows a bit rate in the neighborhood of 3200kbps the 96/16 album I mentioned shows a bit rate in the vicinity of 1200kbps. So another way to check is to use a music player that gives an instantaneous idea of the bit rate - Guayadeque for instance. Having said that, I have run into a situation where "file" claims that a file is 96/24 but in fact the file is actually 96/16 (which was some kind of odd production error, according to the vendor who sold the files). I would guess there's a "file" command available in the terminal in OSX. In Linux, you can check the format with the "file" command as Fabulous Thunderbirds/Strong Like That (FLAC 96.0 kHz 24-bit)$ file *Smooth*Ġ1-05 Smooth (FLAC 96.0 kHz 24-bit).flac: FLAC audio bitstream data, 24 bit, stereo, 96 kHz, 23919360 Fabulous Thunderbirds/Strong Like That (FLAC 96.0 kHz 24-bit)$ CLI ID3 EDITOR CODEIn lieu of looking through the source code and offering a semi-informed opinion based on that (which probably would not be too reliable), I would suggest you try converting to and from your formats of interest and then checking out the converted format. CLI ID3 EDITOR LICENSEI see that the source is offered but I could not locate a license file so I'm not sure of the terms of use. CLI ID3 EDITOR FOR MACI took a look at XLD I gather it's for Mac computers only, so that makes it pretty much out of the question for me (at this point in my life, I'm a Linux-only person). For this specific tags.txt file, the output is: The results are passed through sort with the -u flag, which eliminates all duplication in the output (see my colleague Seth Kenlon's great article on the sort utility). This split all lines into fields using = as the field separator and prints the first field of lines containing an equals sign. I used a simple awk script to list all the tags reported in the tags.txt file: awk -F= 'index($0,"=") > 0 ' tags.txt | sort -u (A bug? Probably I see this on a half-dozen albums.) Also, with respect to the sometimes unusual sorting, note the ALBUMARTISTSORT tag moved the Spanish article "Los" to the end of the artist name, after a comma. CLI ID3 EDITOR SOFTWAREMUSICBRAINZ_TRACKID=8a067685-8707-48ff-9040-6a4df4d5b0ffĪfter a bit of investigation, it turns out I ripped a number of my Putumayo CDs at the same time, and whatever software I was using at the time seems to have put the MUSICBRAINZ_ tags on all but one of the files. MUSICBRAINZ_DISCID=RwEPU0UpVVR9iMP_nJexZjc_JCc. The screenshot below shows the typical problem created by my long-term ripping program: Putumayo's wonderful compilation of Colombian music appears as two separate albums, one containing a single track, the other containing the remaining 11: Also, from a practical perspective, my home and office stereo music needs are met by small, dedicated servers running Armbian and MPD, with the music files stored locally, running a very stripped-down, music-only headless environment, so a command-line metadata management tool would be quite useful. Not that there is anything wrong with great tag-editing software like EasyTAG, but the old saying "if all you have is a hammer…" comes to mind. I have been meaning to get familiar with metaflac, the open source command-line metadata editor for FLAC files, which is my open source music file format of choice. So if the tagging applications and music players don't show the "weirdo" tags-but are somehow affected by them-what can you do? Metaflac to the rescue! Even so, they may use them for sorting or displaying music in some edge cases, like where the player separates all the music files containing tag XYZ into a different album from all the files not containing that tag. I've also learned that some of the tags are pretty obscure, and many music players and tag editors don't show them. By "observed," I mean that music players seem to sort albums in a funny order, they split tracks in one physical directory into two albums, or they create other sorts of frustrating irritations. Over that time, I've used several different tools for ripping, and I have observed that each tool seems to have a different take on tagging, specifically, what metadata to save with the music data. I've been ripping CDs to my computer for a long time now.

That was not the case with older garmin devices (like for example the 310XT) where you could transfer data WITH GARMIN EXPRESS OVER ANT+!!!. My point was that if some reason you don't want or can't use the mobile app (for example because you don't have a compatible BLE-enabled smartphone), then you are left with wired transfer only. Mobile app allows wireless transfer (over BLE but not ANT+), Garmin Express does not (wired only for latest devices). One of them is the mobile app, the other is Garmin Express. There are two ways to sync a garmin device with garmin connect: With older devices it could be done wirelessly over ANT+, with newer devices it is not possible. Yes, and then Express sends the course to the device. I don't have anything in Express that allows me to do so. It takes me to Connect, where I can create, edit, and export courses to the device. The point was to send courses over wireless connection without the mobile app, just using the PC. Nobody said anything about sending courses directly from express. Wired or wireless, how are you sending a course directly from Express? I don't have that option in Express. Biggest drawback is still the lack of a Pause and Resume function on a device with a relatively short battery life. I was unhappy with mine when I first got it, but they've fixed a lot of the bugs that were in the early version, and I'm pretty happy with it now. But this was like the early days of the automobile and the early days of TV. “Today, domed stadiums and air-conditioned stadiums are commonplace. “It had a tremendous impact-not purely to baseball fans, but people just marveled at the concept,” Smith said. As much as anything, though, it was the people, such as the architects, engineers, construction workers and employees that helped make the venue that came to be known as the “Eighth Wonder of the World” possible, that came to his mind. It's actually one of the earliest sports memories, and one of a handful of Astros experiences I was fortunate enough to share with my father while growing up. For others, it was simply a chance to share the venue with friends and family one last time. For some, it was a trip down memory lane of great moments-including Nolan Ryan’s record-setting fifth no-hitter in 1981, or Mike Scott's no-no five years later that clinched the NL West title and put the final exclamation mark on a Cy Young season. The experience took on its own unique meaning for each of the 52,000-plus individuals in the stadium that day. At some point I thought, 'Well this has been great, but I can go take a shower and move on now. "I can't remember if they put highlights on the scoreboard or what they did, but I do remember that the fans wouldn't leave. “The people wouldn't leave," Dierker said. 10/29/2022 0 Comments Mi heart pro“It is not only surprising but also profoundly consequential that the risk is evident even in those ,” Al-Aly says. Compared with those who were not infected, patients with mild disease had more than three times the risk of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, and twice the risk of pulmonary embolism, a blood clot that ends up in a lung artery and blocks blood flow. Still, the increased risk is not trivial. That is a much lower burden than that seen in COVID patients who were hospitalized or admitted to intensive care. When the researchers looked at people with mild COVID specifically, they found that this group had a 39 percent higher risk of developing heart problems, compared with the contemporary control group, or 28 additional cardiovascular problems per 1,000 people in 12 months. The comparison with historical data yielded similar results: the risk of cardiovascular problems in the group that had COVID was 58 percent higher than what was seen in the prepandemic control group. At the end of a year, there were 45 additional cardiovascular events-such as stroke or heart failure-per 1,000 people among those who tested positive for COVID. Overall, the risk of any heart complication over the course of one year was 63 percent higher in people who had gotten COVID compared with those in the contemporary control group. The researchers compared these patients with two control groups: a contemporary cohort who never became infected and a historical group from before the pandemic. A Serious Public Health ProblemĪl-Aly and his colleagues crunched the numbers on heart and other cardiovascular issues during the first year after infection among 153,760 COVID patients from the national health care databases of the VA. Louis Health Care System and a clinical epidemiologist at Washington University in St. “I went into this assuming there was going to be some risk but primarily in people who had very severe disease and needed to be hospitalized in the acute phase of the infection,” says co-author Ziyad Al-Aly, chief of research and development at the U.S. The study was published in February in Nature Medicine. Even those with mild disease appear to be at a higher risk of heart problems one year after infection, according to one of the largest studies to evaluate the long-term cardiovascular outcomes of COVID. Two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, it is becoming clear that the cardiovascular impact of SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID, is not restricted to people who have had severe COVID. As far back as 2004, during the avian flu outbreaks in Asia, he urged public health organizations to consider cardiovascular issues in pandemic preparation plans. “I knew that was going to happen because I’d seen this during influenza epidemics,” he says. Madjid, an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, expected to see a similar increase in heart complications associated with COVID. This happens because they cause inflammation, which plays a major role in cardiovascular problems.Įven before the first case of COVID-19 had been confirmed in the U.S., interventional cardiologist Mohammad Madjid began looking into the potential effects of coronaviruses on the cardiovascular system. Scientists have long been aware that respiratory infections-such as influenza or certain types of coronaviruses-can trigger heart disease. 10/29/2022 0 Comments False hydraAny individual killed by a false hydra is instantly forgotten by everyone who knew them, resulting in much confusion and an uptick in mental instability in the area where it grows.
