That was not the case with older garmin devices (like for example the 310XT) where you could transfer data WITH GARMIN EXPRESS OVER ANT+!!!. My point was that if some reason you don't want or can't use the mobile app (for example because you don't have a compatible BLE-enabled smartphone), then you are left with wired transfer only. Mobile app allows wireless transfer (over BLE but not ANT+), Garmin Express does not (wired only for latest devices). One of them is the mobile app, the other is Garmin Express. There are two ways to sync a garmin device with garmin connect: With older devices it could be done wirelessly over ANT+, with newer devices it is not possible. Yes, and then Express sends the course to the device. I don't have anything in Express that allows me to do so. It takes me to Connect, where I can create, edit, and export courses to the device. ![]() The point was to send courses over wireless connection without the mobile app, just using the PC. ![]() Nobody said anything about sending courses directly from express. Wired or wireless, how are you sending a course directly from Express? I don't have that option in Express. Biggest drawback is still the lack of a Pause and Resume function on a device with a relatively short battery life. I was unhappy with mine when I first got it, but they've fixed a lot of the bugs that were in the early version, and I'm pretty happy with it now. I pair mine for rides because I like the Smart Notification function. #GARMIN ANT AGENT WONT CONNECT WITH MY GARMIN 920 PC#Me, I just use the charge cable to connect to PC because data transfer is faster.Įdge 25 works great without being paired to a smartphone, my GF uses hers that way. #GARMIN ANT AGENT WONT CONNECT WITH MY GARMIN 920 BLUETOOTH#Long as device you're sending from has bluetooth you're good to go. They have, it's just BLE rather than ANT+. And it's not true they haven't implemented wireless connection. No different than plugging an ANT+ stick into the USB port. Connect Edge to the charge cable, plug into USB port, and Send to Device. Not sure why you think you have to go through ".some clunky smartphone app." to connect the Edge to your computer? Create the courses in Garmin Connect (not Connect Mobile) on PC or Mac. ![]()
